Welcome to
Ewan Buxton Joinery Ltd
Started by Ewan Buxton in 2014, Ewan Buxton Joinery Ltd is a small, quality focused joinery company based in Carrbridge, Inverness-Shire.
Attention to detail underpins everything we do. We are truly passionate about our work, hence our slogan, “Committed to Craftsmanship”. We love a challenging project, something that demands care, thought and effort.
Over the years the company has remained small in numbers but the breadth and size of projects has grown, largely by word of mouth and trust through repeat business. We have invested continually in quality tools and machinery to enable these projects, and as such are well placed going forward.
Areas of work include but are not limited to: Many aspects of Carpentry & Joinery, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Renovations, Bespoke Cabinetry, Heritage work, New Builds, Maintenance & Repair, Stairs, Flooring, Wall & Floor Tiling, Decking, Insulation, Locks, Rot Repairs, Doors & Windows, Groundworks and Concrete. If we don’t do or have the thing you need then we probably know who does it well.
We generally work within Inverness-Shire and Moray but are certainly interested to look at exciting projects further afield.
About Ewan Buxton
Ewan has always enjoyed making things and especially in wood, he received his first tool kit when he was 5 years old to the relief of his father and his tools. He has continued to design and make things all through his life.
Ewan came to professional joinery slightly later than most having completed a design degree at Napier University. This was a multidisciplinary course based upon the existing Industrial design degree and the Interior Architecture degree. After a couple of years at a design consultancy in London, Ewan knew that Carpentry and Joinery was where his heart was.
He moved back up North, home, and found employment and an apprenticeship with a well respected, small joinery company. There he learnt his craft the old way, and was fortunate to work on some fantastic projects. As main contractors he learnt to take projects and bespoke house build through from start to finish, seeing every stage finished to the exacting standards his employer demanded.
Whilst an apprentice he won several prestigious awards both locally and nationally.
After 10 years he had learnt many aspects of joinery and construction and felt confident to start his own company in 2014. He continues to thrive on the challenges, learning and accomplishments that the business brings. He looks forward to the business growing, diversifying and all the people he meets on the way.
Since starting the company Ewan has enjoyed the arrival of family life and the balance required to run a business and be a devoted father. In free time he enjoys walking, camping, cooking, model making and wrestling with his 2 young boys.
